Nokia N97 mini review - SlashGear

We’ve had two QWERTY Nokia smartphones on the SlashGear test-bench this past week, and the surprising thing is how differently the respective user experience is. Our Nokia E72 review went live earlier today; now we turn to the Nokia N97 mini, viewed by many – for better or for worse – as the Finnish company’s second attempt at the N97. Second-time lucky or still well short?

Barnes and Noble nook hands-on | SlashGear

Barnes and Noble’s nook may not be the first wireless ebook reader we’ve seen, but with its dual displays, color touchscreen, compact form-factor and Android OS it’s perhaps the most distinctive. The nook isn’t expected to launch until the end of November, but SlashGear were at the B&N launch event in NYC today. Check out our coverage – and some first impressions

Apple iPod touch 3G Review | SlashGear

Apple surprised many people at their recent iPod launch event by focusing on the iPod nano rather than their flagship touchscreen PMP, the iPod touch. Still, they saved a little magic for the third-generation model, including a lower starting price and some games-focused speed boosts higher up in the range. Does the iPod touch 3G stay ahead of the pack, or did Apple miss a trick by not tweaking further?

PURE Sensia Touchscreen radio does quite a lot » Coolest Gadgets

What you’re looking at here is the PURE Sensia, an Internet radio that has a touchscreen with lots of other features. For example, it supports FM, DAB, DAB+, as well as Internet radio, which means it can get just about anything. You can listen to the sound via the cool-looking side speakers on the side. Hopefully there is some sort of way of hooking up speakers if you want to do that as well.

Rumor: Apple May Be Working on XL Tablets Running Full Mac OS X | Gizmodo

"Not only Apple may be working on a 10-inch tablet, but also in 13" and 15" models, one running Mac OS X.

This source claims that the two touchscreen prototypes—made of aluminum, but on the shape of big iPhones—were in a factory in Shenzuen, China. One of them "was running Mac OS X 10.5." When I asked, the source didn't know if these were built for demonstration purposes, or if they were preproduction units. The company has a tight relation with Apple but "it's not FoxConn." ... info at link

The Glass-powered Desktop Phone can work with most landlines, SIP and VOIP clients and will also be compatible with Google Voice. It also supports Bluetooth, so you can pair your mobile phone with the Cloud Telecomputers desktop phone via Bluetooth and use it to answer calls on your mobile phone." ... details at link
